What is the Skilled Nominated Visa?
If your occupation hasn’t reached the occupation ceiling for that year yet, you may be eligible to migrate to Australia permanently, on an Australia Skilled Nominated Visa.
Is your occupation listed on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)?
To be eligible you must be invited by an Australian state or territory government agency. State and Territory governments issue invitations to candidates depending on their skilled migrant needs at the time. However, before you can successfully be considered for a visa place, you will need to lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI). When you lodge your EOI you can nominate which regions you would be willing to relocate to.
This visa is suitable for people under the age of 50, with the skills and qualifications assessed to being at the Australian standard for their chosen occupation on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL) but who do not meet the 60 points pass mark required for a Skilled Independent Visa (189).
